Alex is a freelance writer and student of Islam, Sufism, and Comparative Religion. He is pursuing a Ph.D. in Comparative Religion at the International Islamic University of Islamabad, Pakistan, and also holds an MBA and BA in English from Eastern Illinois University. Alex has studied within the Sufi tradition as an initiative in the Qadiryya Sufi Order for over ten years. He is happily married with three children and frequently travels between Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, and Pakistan.
