Carlo Alvaro is an Italian-American author and philosophy professor at the City University of New York, the Fashion Institute of Technology, St. John's University, and St. Joseph's University (New York). Alvaro advocates ethical vegan based on such virtue-ethical principles as temperance, magnanimity, and compassion. Alvaro is a defender of the Kalam Cosmological Argument for the existence of a deistic god. Concerning morality, he is a moral realist.
