Alice Bennett

Alice has a BA in Ancient History and an MSt in Late Antique and Byzantine studies from the University of Oxford. She is a contributing writer and editor and is particularly passionate about the promotion and protection of historical and archaeological knowledge. In her spare time, she can be found wandering the woods or lurking around ancient monuments, taking photographs.

Antonis Chaliakopoulos

Antonis is an archaeologist with a passion for museums and heritage and a keen interest in aesthetics and the reception of classical art. He holds an MSc in Museum Studies from the University of Glasgow and a BA in History and Archaeology from the University of Athens (NKUA), where he is currently working on his PhD.

Dea Cvetkovic

Dea holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Art History from the University of Belgrade. Her main fields of interest include modern and contemporary art, American art, gender studies, photography, and film. She is currently completing her PhD with a focus on the use of textiles in Feminist art.

Gabriel Kirellos

Gabriel is a travel writer and editor with 5 years of experience, having authored more than 400 articles on historic sites, ancient monuments, and other travel topics across the U.S. and the Americas, Europe, and Asia. His work explores hidden landmarks, from medieval castles in France to ancient temples in Asia, offering readers in-depth cultural insights. With personal travels to over 35 countries, he combines firsthand exploration with historical research. Gabi is a digital nomad traveling across Europe throughout 2024-25 to bring authentic storytelling to his followers.

Jessica Suess

Jessica holds a BA Hons in History and Archaeology from the University of Queensland and an MPhil in Ancient History from the University of Oxford where she researched the worship of the Roman emperors. She worked for Oxford University Museums for 10 years before relocating to Brazil. She is mad about the Romans, the Egyptians, the Vikings, the history of esoteric religions, and folk magic and gets excited about the latest archaeological finds.

Kristen Jancuk

Kristen is an editor specializing in Latin & South American History. She received her MA in Latin American and Hemispheric Studies from George Washington University, and a BA in Spanish and International Relations from Bucknell University. After receiving her MA, Kristen began working on international drug policy for the Organization of American States. One of her greatest and most impractical ambitions is to learn Quechua.

Maria Anita Ronchini

Maria Anita holds a MA in History with a focus in Jewish Studies from the Ludwig-Maximilian-Universität of Munich (LMU) and a BA in History from the University of Bologna. She is currently an independent researcher and writer based in Italy.

Rosie Lesso

Rosie is a contributing writer and artist based in Scotland. She has produced writing for a wide range of arts organizations including Tate Modern, The National Galleries of Scotland, Art Monthly, and Scottish Art News, with a focus on modern and contemporary art. She holds an MA in Contemporary Art Theory from the University of Edinburgh and a BA in Fine Art from Edinburgh College of Art. Previously she has worked in both curatorial and educational roles, discovering how stories and history can enrich our experience of the arts.

Amanda Adie

Amanda holds an MA in Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with a primary interest in aesthetics, ethics, and the places where they overlap.

Anna Sexton

Anna holds a Master in Art History from the Université de Strasbourg as well as a BA in International Relations with a focus in Eastern Europe and a BA in Art History from the University of Washington, Seattle. She also holds a University Diploma in Superior French Studies from the Université de Franche-Comté, Besançon.

Christopher Sexton

Christopher graduated Magna Cum Laude from Concordia University, Irvine with a BA in Communication Studies. He is a film enthusiast who has written scripts for short films, television, and radio.

Emily Snow

Emily is an art historian and writer based in the high desert of her native Utah. In addition to writing about her favorite art historical topics, she covers daily art and archaeology news and hosts expert interviews for TheCollector. She holds an MA in art history from the Courtauld Institute of Art with an emphasis in Aesthetic Movement art and science. She loves knitting, her calico cat, and everything Victorian.

Greg Beyer

Greg is an editor specializing in African history as well as the history of conflict from prehistoric times to the modern era. A prolific writer, he has authored over 400 articles for TheCollector. He is a former teacher with a BA in History & Linguistics from the University of Cape Town. Greg excels in academic writing and finds artistic expression through drawing and painting in his free time.
